Watercolor Doodles

I decided to do a few quick watercolor portraits before jumping into watercolor figure drawing. These were fun. The one on the left is a self-portrait; the one on the right is of a friend.

Is it strange that I got chills while making these? I think so. I haven't tried this style before, but I think I really, really like it. I think the chills were from a combination of painting late at night, needing a snack, and actually liking what I was creating for once. Who knows?
